No Real Movement

The holiday's are now over (I know I haven't posted anything for awhile) and I thought I did pretty well I didn't add but I didn't lose.but since the holiday's I can't seem to change my weight except for a few pounds up or down. I seem to hover around 212-215 lbs. I mean this morning I weighed 215 lbs.

Yesterday I walked to and from school (about a 1 mile  plus each way) and since it was snowing when I got home, I rode my bike on the indoor trainer for an hour (10 min easy; 20 min hard at 2 levels; 5 min easy; 5 times: 2 min hard at various levels and 1 min easy; 3 warm-down).

Well I've decided to get really medieval, I mean really keeping track of what I eat on www.fitday.com, really cutting down on my drinking, no processed foods and only healthy snacks. We'll see if these changes work.

I've also been taking my African Mango and B complex with no apparent change. I think Dr. Oz might be pushing another voodoo cure.

Day 2 - 21 Dec 2011

So I started the day off really well, eating breakfast, not snacking in between meals, grading my exams as I proctored throughout the day. Everything was going well. I went to work-out and the phone rang, it was my daughter's godfather. So, do you want to meet up and get a beer (or two). Dropped everything and was sitting in a bar stool by 4:45 PM. Needless to say the five beers probably didn't help, but my rule is special occasions.

Let it Begin! Part II

While proctoring exams today, I did a little research on dieting/weight-loss. While surfing I discovered African Mango, the new wonder drug and Vitamin B. Both claim to help with weight-loss as well as aiding in lowering cholesterol, so I've decided to be a human guinea pig and take both of these supplements will doing the challenge. I'll report them here as I go.

During Operation Reclamation I'm going to try and live by a few rules (ie lifestyle changes):
1) Smaller portion sizes at every meal
2) No refined sugar deserts or treats except for real special occasions
3) No alcohol except on Saturdays and special occasions
4) More veggies and fruit
5) Exercise everyday (I know I'll miss occasionally but this way I'll still workout 4-5 times a week

Let's see what happens.

Let it Begin!

This is it. I am putting it out there as I try and meet my weight-loss goals for the whole world to see.

It is quite simple really. I want to lose approximately 30 lbs. This morning I weighed myself and I was a 216 lbs. I want to get down to 185 and I'm letting the world watch as I try. I'm giving myself 1 year in this experiment.

More will come later. But I figured it was now or never, so let it begin! Operation Reclamation: The C St Challenge!
